Chris - Team OwnerThe team which is based in the heart of the Motorsport and Karting enviroment in Northamptonshire, is operated independently by Chris Barnes the team owner and manager.
Chris started karting back in 2001 at the age of 15, competing in Rotax Max at the circuits, Kimbolton, Shennington, PFI and Whilton Mill, with having more success at looking after and running a team himself, chris turned to managing his own race at the age of 18, taking part ownership in SRS Racing with a 50% stake in the company, taking the team from strength to strength.
Gaining ARKS instructors licence, Clerk of the course National B and National B Scrutineering Licence...useful for knowing all them little essentials for karting.....
Also with all the experience Chris works as a 1-2-1 instructor at Bedford autodrome, where he regulary instruct's customers to Motorsport vision on the 2.5 mile track in many race and super cars....
Joe - Team Manager
Joe was introduced to karting by his father at the age of 8.with drivers such as, Lewis Hamilton, Luke Hines, Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson at the top of the sport, running with Terry Fullerton of Fullerton Racing Kart's in the cadet class with many race wins, racing at the circuits, Clay pigeon, Fulbeck, Kimbolton, Ellough Park, Nuthampstead, Buckmore Park, Rye House and Blackbush
Racing through the years in junior TKM, Junior TKM intermediate where he enter Super 1 in 2001 with high success... in 2004 switched to then the new formula to the sport Fomula rotax max... with race wins at Ellough park, Kimbolton, and a club championship at Rye House..
Joe also has many years experience in car racing as a race technician in high profile championships such as Formula Ford with Alan Docking Racing, Clio Cup with Mardi Gras and Coastal Racing with 10 and 4 respectivaly in the championship, Number 1 mechanic with Forster Motorsport running the BMW in BTCC in 2010, 2011 number 2 mechanic for Special Tuning Racing running Dave Newsham with the Seat Leon and a Porsche 997 GT3 for Sibsport in Porsche Challenge, also running in the Bute GT Chamionship with wins at Spa Francochamps and many podiums.
With this experience Joe joined the team in 2010 firstly as a driver and now as Team manager his experience has proven essential to the team with driver coaching and technical skills.
Joe is our number 1 driver competing at kimbolton and whilton mill circuits, while coaching drivers at these circuits and at ellough park raceway with new and novice drivers
